If Looks Could Kill
I came from a great family with a Christian upbringing, but after being bullied so much in grade school and High school I felt so unattractive. Modeling was an escape from the world since it allowed me to be “ME”. From Detroit to NY, the big city where everyone wanted to be.
I did everything I could to try to be the perfect model. They wanted me in hair extensions, I did that, they said lose a couple inches, I did that, then they said lose more weight , I did that, they said you have to make your collar bone deep enough to place a cup inside so I tried to accomplish that. After a while I realized how malnourished I was looking and started to see the dark side of the industry. God spoke to me and said there is more to you than what people see. So I put my trust and faith in God which brought me to Florida to start Saving Her Elegance.
I’m much healthier now, I love who I am and what I stand for, and to know trying to please man could have killed me, but God pulled me out. You are not designed to fit in, you were created to standout. Beauty fades, but God’s love is everlasting.

February 10, 2016 at 2:20 pmI love this story Rana. In fact, your name was on my list that I prayed for. I read Psalms 91 this morning. Check it out. Glad you are able to help other women. God will always be there! Thanks
